Hey everyone! It’s Emalia Jane! Today, I’ll be talking about the Glazed Greek Gods. I will describe the gods from the Pantheon, but afterwards, I will bullet a few more. Let’s get started! Also, please be sure to comment a suggestion!
Zeus: The Greek god of the skies, Zeus is considered the king of all the gods. He has two brothers, Poseidon and Hades. He also has three sisters Demeter, Hestia , and Hera.
Poseidon: Poseidon is the Greek god of the seas. He protects sailors.
Hera: She is the Greek Goddess of marriage and the queen of other goddesses.
Demeter: Demeter is the Greek goddess of agriculture, harvest, and fertility of the Earth. She is also the mother of Persephone, Hades’ wife.
Athena: Athena is the goddesses of wisdom and knowledge. She was born from Zeus’ head. Athens, Greece is named after her.
Apollo: The Greek god of healing, medicine, music, and poetry, Apollo is most associated with the Lyre.
Artemis: The Greek goddess of animals and hunting, Artemis is often depicted with a bow and arrow.
Ares: Ares is the Greek god of war. He has two sons – Phobos(fear) and Deimos(terror).
Aphrodite: Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, and relationships. She was known for her beauty.
Hephaestus: Hephaestus is the Greek god of blacksmithing, metalworking, and craftsmanship. He is associated with an anvil, donkey, and volcano.
Hermes: Hermes is the Greek god of travel, athletes, sports, mischief, and trade. He was the messenger of the gods.
Hestia: Hestia is the Greek goddess of the hearth and home. All food is sacrificed in her name.
Dionysus: The Greek god of wine, Dionysus is often called an outsider because of his mortal mother.
These are the 13 main Greek gods. It is debatable whether Hestia or Dionysus is the 12th god.
